Hyundai Eon budget car review-A stylish, affordable city car

The Hyundai Eon was launched in 2011 in India. This best looking entry level hatchback is positioned below the Hyundai Santro and the i10 and has been developed specifically for India. The price of the Hyundai Eon ranges between Rs 3.25 to Rs 4.40 Lac. The closest competitors of the Hyundai Eon are the Maruti Alto 800, Chevrolet Spark and Alto K10.

The Hyundai Eon is powered by 800 cc, 3-cylinder, 9-valve SOHC petrol engine that develops 55 bhp and 75 Nm of torque. In fact, the engine of the Hyundai Eon is derived from the reliable Santro workhouse. Although, the car has only a 3-cylinder engine nevertheless it stays reliable and fuel efficient principally because of the iRDE technology. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The car comes with a fuel tank capacity of 32 litres.
