Honda Freed MPV uses 1496 cc four cylinder iVTEC 118PS 1.5 litres engine which develops a peak torque 146 Nm at 4800 rpm.

The Honda Freed MPV engine is 1.5 litres 1496 cc four cylinder iVTEC 118PS. The maximum power developed by this engine is 86 kW at 6600 rpm and a peak torque 146 Nm at 4800 rpm.

Just as the exteriors are awesome and extremely beautiful, the interiors are no different. They look magnificent and the cabin is just so eye-catching. The dashboard of the MPV is sleek and looks smart but is far too close to the front passenger's knee. The power window buttons and other plastic bulges too are a little two close the sides of leg of the traveller.

The materials used in the plastic of the cabin are satisfactory, though not the best. The air conditioning and the alpine sound system perform greatly. The dual automatic sliding door is an amazing feature. It reminds of the typical Japanese MPV models. You just push one button and the doors slide through. These doors are sensor enabled which means that as any object will come near to it while it's opening the doors, they will automatically pause there.

The cabin is spacious and has a low floor design. The roof is high and flat giving good headroom. The seating positioning is theatrical and it is convenient for the passengers to walk from the first to the third row easily. This is especially helpful for long journeys. Seven people can easily be seated comfortably at a time even in long travels. The third row seats are folding.

The roof is tall and has got a foldable DVD placed right in there. Storage spaces in the MPV include door pockets, 7 cup holders, backseat hook, centre tray and glove compartment. The multi-info display is quite appealing and enhances the beauty of the dashboard. It displays the real-time fuel consumption by Freed which is a very important and much appreciated feature in any car.

The air conditioning controls are digital that are way more appealing than the triple knob manual controls in other cars. One thing that is noticeable in the car is the inconvenience in accessing the third row seats in the Freed. One has to completely open the sliding door and recline the second row to get into the third row which makes its accessibility quite inconvenient. Once can take this as the minus point of Freed. Another noticeable point which is not much appealing is the not-so-wide opening doors.

The sliding doors take 5 seconds in opening and closing as tested by experts. The doors can also be operated by a remote control provided by Honda. The luggage space is pretty less if you keep the third row seats unfolded. So if you are looking towards loading a whole lot of luggage you need a storage box of rail roof on the top of the car. Performance

Freed's continuously variable transmission along with torque converter is reason of its smooth acceleration there by delivering comfortable performance under a wide array of driving scenarios.

The seating arrangements in the Honda Freed are very comfortable and seats are well-padded to give superior comfort in long drives except the third row seats. The third row seats are too bouncy for long drives and can easily make anyone dizzy and sick is something that the buyers got to notice before they go on to buy this MPV.

There are many noticeable things about the car that make it distinct. The handbrake system is amongst the most outstanding features. This system is placed near the brake pedal and resembles that of Mercedes, Lexus and BMW cars. You just need to step and then release and the handbrake does its work!

The gear shift handle has been given on the dashboard itself. A hand rest is given too to make the gear shifting experience a comfortable one for the driver. The noise, vibration and harshness levels are surprisingly low and the cabin is unbelievably quiet of the Freed. The steering requires a little more turns for the movement of the wheels.

The slow ratio of the steering makes it less sensitive round the tight corners. When engine and transmission were tested to the throttle input both came out to be responsive. The dual air bags add to the many safety features in this car. The fuel consumption of the Honda Freed is 16.4 kilometres per litre.

So if you're living in one of those Thailand roads, Honda Freed is a safe car to go for. The budget of Honda Freed MPV lies between $ 25000 and $ 30000. So if you are comfortable with the price tag, have a happy big family, are swept away by its looks and are in complete love with Honda, go for the Freed without doubts.
