Skoda Octavia

Skoda Octavia, a D segment Sedan was launched way back in the year 2001. Since its launch many changes have been made to improvise the model furthermore, and it has continued to gain popularity with each launching successor. The Sedan has six variants which are Octavia LK, Octavia Elegance 1.9 TDi, Octavia Rider 1.8 Turbo, Octavia Rider, Octavia Automatic and Octavia 1.9 TDi Turbo. The car is available in six enticing colours- Corrida Red, Candy White, Cappuccino Beige, Storm Blue, Magic Black and Anthracite Grey.

Design and Styling

The car speaks volumes of luxury and style. Both the interiors and exteriors are a pleasure to look at. The outer body is synonymous with beauty and elegance. In the interiors the console in the centre is very stylish and beautiful. The audio system installed in the car is a 6 CD changer with FM radio performing quite well. The air conditioner in the car has climate control feature and is electrically operated. The leather steering wheel looks classic. Front and rear seats have ashtrays and cupholders by their sides too.

The console in the middle has woody touch to it making it look chic. Sunroof also shows the luxurious side of the car. The front windows operate electrically. Independent heating and cruise control are among its various other fascinating features. The pretensioners work smoothly. Airbags have been provided for the travellers and the driver in the car. Anti skid system and Anti lock brake system are counted among its safety features. Fog lamps and xenon headlamps give out vivid visibility and view of the road. Both side of the door mirror are also to be operated electrically. The body coloured bumpers add to the look of the car. Tachometer has also been provided in Octavia. This sedan can seat 5 people comfortably at a time.



Engine and other Specifications

The MPi Turbo Petrol engine has 1781 cc displacement that gives out a maximum power of 150 Bhp at 4000 rpm and the maximum torque of 210 Nm at 1750 rpm. The suspension is Mc Pherson strut torsion bar stabiliser. The front brakes are disk and the rear drum type. The ground clearance is 134 mm and the total kerb weight comes out to be 1235 kilograms. Two trip meters have been provided in the car with remote central locking. The petrol models give out an average mileage of 8 kilometres per litre and the diesel ones give out 11 kilometres per litre.
