Force Motors Limited has introduced its popular SUV – the Gurkha with BS-IV compliant engine in the market. The SUV has been launched in two variants – the Xplorer with 3-door and the Xpedition with 5-door. Now, the 2017 Force Gurkha comes with BS-IV engine.
The company has not made any major change in this car. However, the new front bumper, rear bumper and new grille provide it a new look. Besides, the SUV gets all-terrain tyres as standard. The cabin of this SUV gets new steering wheel design, new gear lever and revised air-con controls.
Its Xplorer variant is available in three and five-door style, while the previous model had an option of soft top roof. In its three-door model, seven passengers including driver can accommodate, while its five-door model can accommodate six or eight people in addition to the driver. In fact, this car is extremely popular in hilly areas.
The 2017 Force Gurkha comes fitted with a 2.6- litre, direct injection, inter-cooled, turbocharged BS-IV compliant diesel engine that produces 86 HP of power and 230 Nm of maximum torque. At the same time, there is a choice of four wheel and rear wheel driving with five speed manual transmission.
The Force Gurkha Xpedition comes with a price tag of Rs 8.38 lakh, while the Force Gurkha Xplorer has been priced at Rs 9.36 lakh. Both prices are ex- showroom, Delhi.
