The second largest car maker of the country Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) has launched a four speed automatic transmission variant of its popular hatchback car – the Elite i20. The ex-showroom price of the Hyundai Elite i20 Automatic is Rs. 9.01 lakh and comes available in Magna variant only. The Hyundai Elite i20 Automatic competes with Maruti Suzuki Baleno AT, Honda Jazz CVT, Ford Figo 1.5 AT and Volkswagen Polo GT TSI.
The automatic transmission equipped Hyundai Elite i20 is based on the the company’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy. The Hyundai Elite i20 Automatic is powered by a 1.4 litre, 1368 cc, four cylinder VTVT petrol engine that delivers a maximum power output of 99 bhp at 6000 rpm and a maximum torque of 132 Nm at 4000 rpm. As mentioned earlier, the engine is linked to a four speed automatic transmission gearbox.
In terms of dimension, the Hyundai Elite i20 Automatic measures 3985 mm in length, 1734 mm in width and 1505 mm in height. At the same time, the car comes with a wheelbase of 2570 mm and a ground clearance of 170 mm.
In addition, the Hyundai Elite i20 Automatic comes loaded with several high end features such as flip key, six airbags, steering mounted controls, power windows, height adjustable front seat belts, speed sensing auto door lock, 2-DIN infotainment system with 1GB internal memory, Bluetooth, USB and AUX-in.
