BMW, famous for its stylish luxury cars worldwide, is soon going to shut down its popular 1 Series premium hatchback in India. Prior to this decision taken by the company, it has been removed from the company’s official Indian website.
After the close of 1 Series, the BMW X1 has now become an entry level SUV in India. The extremely popular 1 Series luxury car was launched in the year 2013. After this, the new facelift model was introduced once again in 2015 by adding new features. The last remaining model of the 1 Series has been sold for Rs. 31 lakhs.
Production of this car has also been discontinued in the company’s plant located in Chennai. At present, eight products of the company are being made in this plant.
