Mahindra KUV 100 crossover has been unveiled in new ‘Trip’ variant .The vehicle has been tweaked especially keeping fleet operators and business owners in view.The Trip version targets owners looking for a compact car that is reasonably priced and easy to maintain.
The price of new KUV 100 2018 version starts from Rs 5.16 lakhs and goes upto 5.42 lakhs.The car competes with Maruti Ignis in the segment.Ignis as you know has a base price starting from 4.59 lakhs.
The special thing about new KUV 100 is that this this time Mahindra and Mahindra has introduced it in CNG option as well.Its , newly introduced CNG model engine , outputs 70BHP power.The cylinder in CNG edition takes a space of 60L in the car.The CNG version has been available in 5 and 6 seat options similar to its petrol version.
The diesel version , however , is only available in 6 seat option.
The crossover version has been launched in 2 colour options – Dazzling silver and Diamond White.Like its standard model , new KUV 100 , uses 1.2L engine with 3-cylinders.The compact crossover generates 82 BHP in petrol variant.On the other hand the 1.2L diesel engine variant generates 77BHP power.The claimed fuel efficiency of standard KUV 100 is 18.15 kmpl in petrol engine.Its diesel version claims to deliver 25.32 kmpl mileage.
The car lacks power windows or an audio system and the usual features include manual AC, electric power steering, and headlight adjustment. It comes with safety features like ABS with EBD, ISOFIX mounts and dual airbags.
As far as Trip version is concerned Mahindra claims that crossover has a low running cost of Rs. 0.35-0.40 km/l.
With a price of Rs 9,720 the buyer can purchase an an optional extended warranty package of 5 years for both the petrol and the diesel variant in KUV 100.
