Ford India has discontinued two models of the Endeavour, only three models remaining out of five models. The company has discontinued the base 2.2 4×2 trend trim last year too.
This time, Ford India has stopped the sales of the 2.2 4×4 MT and 3.2 4×4 AT trends. Now, the Ford Endeavour will be available in 2.2 4×2 AT Trend, 2.2 4×2 AT Titanium and 3.2 4×4 AT Titanium.
According to the company sources, these models were with an automatic gearbox option and they were less sales in comparison to their rival the Toyota Fortuner. Hence, these models have been discontinued. It is being said that they were working to reduce Endeavour variations to Ford India.
With increased competition from the Toyota Fortuner, Ford India has moved to cut its offering in the Endeavour variants. In addition, this could be because there is not much demand for manual variants of SUV. Ford’s effort is a competent and bright SUV with a stylish look. The company may focus more on this model.
