Ford India launched its first compact sedan Ford Figo Aspire on Wednesday. Its price starts at Rs 4.9 lakh. The Aspire will be available in both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol variants are priced between Rs 4,89,990 and Rs 7,79,990 whereas the diesel variants are priced between Rs 5,89,990 and Rs 8,24,990. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. The vehicle takes on the likes of Honda Amaze, Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Tata Zest and Hyundai Xcent.
The all new Figo Aspire is available with three engine options- one diesel and two petrol. The diesel variant offers a 1.5-litre TDCi engine with 99bhp while the petrol variant offers a 1.5-litre Ti-VCT engine with 110bhp and a 1.2-litre Ti-VCT engine with 87bhp. Here it is worth-mentioning that the 1.5-litre diesel and 1.2-litre petrol- engined variants come with a 5-speed manual gearbox whereas the 1.5-litre petrol model is equipped with a 6-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox. The petrol engine will give a mileage of 18.16 kmpl while the diesel engine will give a mileage of 25.83 kmpl. Both fuel efficiency are ARAI-certified.
On the safety front, the Figo Aspire is offering dual airbags. In so far, the top end variant of the vehicle is offered with six-airbags. In addition, other safety features of the Aspire include Hill-Assist, ABS with EBD, Emergency Assistance and so on.
The Aspire is available in 7 colours- Tuxedo Black, Deep Impact Blue, Ruby Red, Ingot Silver, Sparkling Gold, Oxford White and Smoke Grey. Currently, bookings for the Aspire is open and an interested buyer can book the new car at any Ford India dealership for an amount of Rs. 30,000.
