In view of the upcoming festive season, Ford India has launched the second generation Figo starting at RS 4,29,900 on Wednesday. The price is Ex-Showroom Delhi.
The vehicle comes with three engine options, a 1.2-litre Ti-VCT petrol, a 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine and a 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol which will be available only with a 6-speed Power shift automatic. Here it is worth-mentioning that the prices for the diesel variant come between RS 5.29 Lakhs to RS 7.40 Lakhs. While the sole automatic is priced at Rs 6.91 Lakhs. These prices are Ex-Showroom Delhi.
The 1.2-litre petrol gives 64.7 KW of power and 112 Nm, the 1.5-litre diesel gives 74 KW of power and 215 Nm of torque whereas, the 1.5-litre petrol gives 82.3 KW of power and 136 Nm. On the safety front, the base variant of the Figo gets a driver airbag, whereas other variants come with dual front airbags or six airbags. In addition, the vehicle comes with the SYNC Ford AppLink to allow drivers to control their phone, entertainment and apps, hands-free.
Since Figo has already become a brand in India so the company has decided to make the country a hub for its small car. Ford has set up two factories in the country at Chennai and Sanand and the company is looking to service not only in India but export the car to 50 more countries.
