Ford upgrades Endeavour 2017 with SYNC 3 infotainment system but no engine change

In its 2017 upgrade Ford Endeavour gets SYNC 3 Infotainment system

Ford India has launched the new Endeavour with SYNC 3 infotainment system. The company has launched it in top variants – the 2.2 litre Titanium 4X2 Automatic and the 3.2 litre Titanium 4X4 Automatic with a price tag of Rs 27.93 lakh and Rs 30.89 lakh respectively. Both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

The infotainment system of the car features graphics, voice recognition, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity with eight-inch touch screen. This system allows the users to send and receive SMS, make calls and listen to music. At the same time, it offers Emergency Assistance which makes automatic call to the emergency services during an accident and as soon as the airbags are opened.

The SYNC 3 is equipped with AppLink integration (using touchscreen smartphone apps) and Siri Eyes-Free capability for the Apple iPhone users. According to Ford India, it is easy to use apps and other services during the driving of the SYNC 3-equipped Endeavour. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay have been linked to the SYNC 3 so that the car riders who use Android and iPhone can easily read messages, make phone calls or listen to music.

Moreover, the company did not change the engine of this seven seater SUV. The car is powered by the 2.2 litre and the 3.2 litre Duratorq diesel engine which is mated to a 6-speed automatic and manual transmission.
