Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has increased prices of its best- selling models Fortuner and Innova Crysta by two per cent from May. The company has taken this step due to rising commodity prices. However, the prices of its other models sold in India have not increased.
From the beginning of this month, the company has increased the price of SUV Fortuner by two per cent and Innova Crysta by one per cent. Fortuner is priced between Rs. 26.6 lakh and Rs. 31.86 lakh whereas the price of Innova Crysta ranges from Rs. 13.99 lakh to Rs. 21.19 lakh. All prices are ex- showroom, Delhi.
TKM Director and Senior Vice- President, sales and marketing, N Raja said, "We are facing a challenge in terms of commodity prices, particularly metals, and therefore in order to offset the impact, we have passed it on to the customers."
