Hero MotoCorp will launch 3 new scooters

To make its strength in the scooter segment, Hero MotoCorp is now preparing to launch 3 new scooters in India. The company will launch a new 125 cc scooter between January and March next year, and after which 2 new models will be introduced by 2018 – 19.

According to Hero MotoCorp, the upcoming 3 new models will make the company scooter profile more powerful. At present, Hero MotoCorp has scooters like Maestro Edge (110 cc), Duet (110 cc) and Pleasure (102 cc).  

In the scooter segment, Hero MotoCorp has a market share of 12 percent, while TVS holds a 15 per cent market share. And, Honda is at the top with nearly 60 per cent market share. Honda currently has 5 scooters – Activa, Activa 125, Aviator, Dio and Cliq. While, TVS currently has scooters like Jupiter, Scooty Pep Plus, Wego and Zest. 

Along with the new scooters, Hero MotoCorp is also preparing to launch a new 200 cc bike in the premium bike segment next March. According to experts, this bike with 200 cc engine may be the Hero Xtreme. There is also frequent news about this new bike.
