Honda has launched ‘Privilege Edition’ of its Amaze compact sedan. It has been prepared on the S (O) MT variant. The prices of the Honda Amaze Privilege Edition start at Rs 6.48 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs 7.74 lakh for the diesel variant. All prices are ex – showroom, Delhi.
The Honda Amaze Privilege Edition is about Rs 10,000 more expensive than the regular model. It competes with the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, the Ford Aspire, the Volkswagen Ameo and the Hyundai Xcent.
The Privilege Edition gets edition themed beige seat covers, rear parking sensors and centre arm rest. Apart from this, the car comes packed with a 7- inch DIGIPAD touchscreen infotainment system – as given in the Honda City model – which supports Bluetooth, HDMI, WI-FI support, Micro SD card and USB input.
It also provides information on live traffic through satellite navigation. The system has a storage capacity of 1.5 GB, and in this media, navigation and calling can be used through voice command.
There has been no change in the engine of the Honda Amaze Privilege Edition. Like the existing model, it has also been given the 1.2- liter, i-VTEC petrol engine and 1.5- liter, i-DTEC diesel engine with a 5- speed manual gearbox. On the safety front, Anti-lock braking system (ABS) has been given in its petrol version and dual airbags in the diesel variant.
