After the increased GST cess on cars, the country’s second largest car maker Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has increased prices of its various models by up to Rs 84,867.
The company said that the prices have been increased by two to five percent and it would be effective from September 11. The company has increased its hatchback car the Hyundai i20 by Rs 12,547, Verna has been hiked by up to Rs 29,090 and the price of the Creta has been increased by Rs 20,900 to Rs 55,375.
The company’s Elantra car will now be costlier by Rs 50,312 to 75,991 and premium SUV Tucson will be dearer by Rs 64,828 to Rs 84,867. These increases have been made in ex – showroom prices in Delhi.
At the same time, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) India also announced the price of its Jeep and Fiat vehicles have been increased by up to Rs 6.4 lakh. The company has said that the price of different versions of its recently released Jeep Compass has been increased between Rs 21,000 and Rs 72,000.
It may be noted that earlier Honda Cars India had also announced the price hike in its City, BR-V and CR-V models. Prices of these cars have been increased between Rs 7,003 and Rs 89,069.
