The South Korean automaker Hyundai has launched its highly-awaited hatchback car the Grand i10 in the country without any promotion. In fact, it is a facelift version and the company has launched it in both petrol and diesel options.
There are many cosmetic changes in interior and exterior in this new avatar. However, there is also an interesting fact about this facelift version of the Hyundai Grand i10 – the new base variant of the petrol model has been priced less than Rs 30000 as compared to the regular model whereas the base variant of the diesel model has been priced more than Rs 30000.
The starting price of the Hyundai Grand i10 petrol model is Rs 4.58 lakh while the diesel model is starting from Rs 5.68 lakh. All prices are ex showroom, Delhi. The power and torque of the new engine are much better compared to the previous model. The company is also claiming a better mileage. The company has also given manual and automatic gearbox options.
In terms of design, the Hyundai Grand i10 facelift comes with the new grill with aggressive front. The new front and rear bumper chrome finish round shape give some newness. Besides, turn indicator integrated ORVMs, LED DRLs and diamond cut alloy wheels are included this time.
As far as cabin is concerned, the design is like the old model, nevertheless the company has updated the Hyundai Grand i10 facelift with new features list. Hyundai has introduced a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
There is also 1 GB in-built storage in the Infotainment system. For better sound quality the company has given Voice Command. Apart from these, the top variant gets reverse camera.
On the technical front, the Hyundai Grand i10 facelift will come equipped with 1.2 liter petrol and 1.2 liter U2 diesel engine. The petrol engine generates 85 PS and diesel 72 PS, which is better than before. And, Magna and Sportz will get AMT gearbox along with five-speed manual standard. Moreover, mileage is also better than before.
