Hyundai ionic hybrid car which is fitted with 8.9 kg lithium polymer battery can run unto 50 kilometers on a full charge in electric mode.The car by can be launched in India in the year of 2017, though there is no official declaration from the company. The expected price of the Hyundai Ionic Hybrid car may range from Rs 9 lakh to Rs 14 lakh.(Update : Oct 2017 – According to Hyundai this car will be launched in 2018 in India).
There will be three versions of this car – Hybrid, plug-in Hybrid and Electric. The hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions will be powered by an 8.9kWh lithium-ion polymer battery. It will have estimated pure electric range of 50 km. It will produce 104 bhp of power and 147 Nm of torque and coupled to a six speed dual clutch transmission.
On the other hand, the electric variant will be mated to a 1.6 litre, 4 cylinder petrol engine and generate a maximum power of 105 PS along with 147 Nm of torque. The Ionic will come with several attractive features such as Hyundai’s signature hexagonal grille and fluidic exterior design, low beam LED headlamps, LED daytime running lights, 16-inch alloy wheels, blind spot detection and an integrated charging portal.
On the inside, the Hyundai Ionic Hybrid car will get a sporty all black cabin with matte silver highlights that will enhance the beauty of the car. In addition to this, the car will be equipped with a centrally mounted 7-inch infotainment system.
