The largest auto maker of the country Maruti Suzuki is going to launch its all new compact crossover the Ignis on January 13, 2017.The expected price of the Maruti Suzuki Ignis will be in the price range of Rs 5.00 lakh to Rs 7.00 lakh.
The car can be booked against a payment of Rs 11,000 only. The company will offer the Ignis in four variants – Alpha, Zeta, Sigma and Delta and in nine colour options. The Maruti Suzuki Ignis will be sold through the Nexa dealerships.
The Maruti Suzuki Ignis will be available in both engines – the 1.2 litre K-Series petrol engine and the 1.3 litre DDiS diesel engine. The petrol engine will produce 83 hp of power at 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm.
On the other hand, the 1.3 litre DDiS diesel engine will generate 74 hp of power at 4,000 rpm and 190 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. In addition, engines will be linked to a five speed manual transmission gearbox as standard, though there will be also an option of AMT or Automated Manual Transmission.
As far as mileage is concerned, the ARAI fuel efficiency figures of the Maruti Suzuki Ignis is 20.89 kmpl and 26.80 kmpl for the petrol engine and diesel engine respectively, as the company claims.
On the safety front, the Maruti Suzuki Ignis will come equipped with dual front airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brake force Distribution) and ISOFIX child seat restraints. Moreover, the top end model of the Maruti Suzuki Ignis will get Apple CarPlay, 7-inch touchscreen audio system and navigation, CD, USB and Bluetooth connectivity.
