Upcoming Honda City 2017 Facelift Images Leaked Before Launch

The 2017 Honda City facelift will be launched soon in India. Images of the 2017 Honda City facelift have been seen in India for the first time. Some days back, pictures of this car was leaked in Thailand and now a glimpse of the car has shown in India. In fact, the photo of the car was taken during a TVC shoot. The existing version of Honda City was launched in 2014 .Last year this Honda car with more than 6.3 lakhs units sold became the best selling sedan car in premium segment.

There will be many changes in the 2017 Honda City edition. The new look of the car is inspired by the new Civic car. The front look of the car has been built much sharper than before. There are also some changes in the cluster headlamps and now the car will be fitted with LED DRL.  The chrome bar of the front grille has been changed and it has been enhanced by the headlight.

There is also a change at the rear of the car. The 2017 Honda City facelift gets tail lamps with LED inserts. The rear bumper of the car has been also changed. However, there is no change to the car’s side profile and looks the same as the current model. This time, the car has been fitted with 16-inch alloy wheels in place of 15-inch alloy wheels.

There is not any change in the engine of the car. It will come with 1.5-liter i-VTEC petrol engine and 1.5-liter i-DTEC diesel engine option. petrol engine will be equipped with 5-speed manual and CVT while the diesel engine will be equipped with 6-speed manual transmission gearbox. The company may provide 6-speed manual gearbox with the petrol version of the car, although it has not been confirmed yet.        

However, the interior of the 2017 Honda City facelift has not been disclosed yet. But, the updated car can get an updated infotainment system (with Android auto and mobile mirroring app). Moreover, the top variants of the car get 6 airbags (standard feature) and better quality materials have been installed. The ground clearance of the car has been increased to 10 mm for better suspension setup and ride quality.
