Tata Motors – owned Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has reduced the price of two models by up to Rs. 4.08 lakh in India. The company has, most likely, taken this initiative to take on German companies in this section. The company has reduced the price of the diesel – powered Land Rover Discovery Sport by Rs. 4.08 lakh to Rs. 43.08 lakh. Earlier, its price was Rs. 47.88 lakh.
Similarly, the company has cut the price of the Range Rover Evoque diesel by Rs. 3.25 lakh to Rs. 45.85 lakh, which was earlier Rs. 49.10 lakh. All prices are ex- showroom, Delhi.
According to the company, the reason behind this reduced price is the increasing popularity of Land Rover cars. The company further added, in order to expand the reach of this iconic brand, the prices of some products have been revised and re- positioned.Recently it had also showcased Land Rover Range Rover Velar SUV in USA.
And, by this step the company will be able to make its vehicles more competitive. These two vehicles of the company compete against the likes of a range of luxury vehicles such as the Audi Q3, Q5, Mercedes GLC, GLE and BMW X3.
