Maruti Suzuki, the largest car makers of the country, has sold more than one lakh units of its compact car Celerio in the domestic market in less than one and a half year after its launch in the country. In fact, Celerio was launched in the month of February last year. It is the first car in the country to introduce the acclaimed auto gear shift technology and almost one third of sales are of auto gear shift variants.
Celerio is available both in petrol and CNG options. At the same time its diesel version has already been launched last month. Here it is remarkable that Maruti Celerio Diesel engine has been developed locally by Maruti. The Celerio is, in fact, a B-segment hatchback from Maruti and is launched mainly to replace the A-Star. It plugs the gap between the Wagon R and the Ritz. The Celerio provides beautiful cabin and boot space. No doubt, it is one of the best options for urban commuting and it is being liked by consumers very much.
