Maruti Suzuki, the country’s largest car maker, has slashed the price of its premium crossover- the S-Cross, which was launched in August, 2015 at a starting price of Rs. 8.34 lakh. The price has been reduced up to Rs. 2.05 lakh. Now, the price of the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross starts at Rs. 7.79 lakh and goes up to Rs. 11.69 lakh. According to the company, about 17,000 units of the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross have been sold since its launch.
The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is a crossover, nonetheless, with this price cut the vehicle will rival the Hyundai Creta, Nissan Terrano, Mahindra Scorpio, Renault Duster and other SUVs falling in the same price bracket.
The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross comes with two engine options- 1.3-litre DDiS200 and 1.6-litre. The 1.3-litre DDiS200 has engine capacity of 1248cc, 4 cylinder, power 88 bhp@4000 rpm, 200 Nm@1750 rpm and 5-speed manual transmission. While, the 1.6-litre engine has capacity of 1598cc, 4 cylinder, 118bhp at 4000rpm and develops 320Nm of torque and 6-Speed Manual transmission. It gives a mileage of 23.65 Kmpl.
The vehicle has several features like Airbags, ABS, Passenger Airbags, Air Conditioner, Steering Adjustment, Electrically Adjustable Rear View Mirror, Central Locking and so on. The dimension of the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is 4300 x 1765 x 1590 mm. Its wheelbase is 2600 mm and boot space is 810 L. And, the gross weight of the vehicle is 1670 Kg.
