The largest car manufacturer of the country Maruti Suzuki India Limited has recently introduced its compact sedan – the Dzire. At the same time, the company has also updated its Eeco van with BS4- compliant engine. The price of the Maruti Suzuki Eeco starts at Rs 3.25 lakh and goes up to Rs 4.32 lakh. All prices are ex- showroom, New Delhi.
The Maruti Eeco was first introduced at the 2010 Auto Expo. It replaced Versa. The Maruti Eeco got good response from the customer on account of its huge cabin space. In fact, after the success of Omni van, the Maruti Eeco was launched in the market, which became very popular among people.It has been available in 5-Seater Standard , 5-Seater AC and 7-Seater Standard.Let us remind you that Maruti Suzuki 7-Seater has no AC model available.Due to the absence of ac version of eeco in 7-seat option some people have also converted 5-seater A/C car to 7-seater eeco by installing rear jump seats.
As for power specification, the 2017 Maruti Suzuki Eeco van comes fitted with a 1.2- liter, 4- cylinder MPFI 16- valve engine, that produces 73 BHP of power at 6,000 RPM and 101 Nm of peak torque at 3,000 RPM. The engine is paired with a 5- speed manual transmission. This van is available in both – petrol and CNG variants. In petrol version, it delivers a mileage of 15 kmpl while in CNG version, it gives 20 km / kg.
In terms of features, the 2017 Maruti Suzuki Eeco comes equipped with Body Decals, Diagonal Shift Assistance, Headlamp Levelling Device, Sliding Rear Doors, 5-and 7- seater Layout, High- mounted Rear Stop Lamp, Child Lock, Side Impact Beams and Air conditioning.
