Although, the production of this scooter had been stopped. Now, the iconic Bajaj Chetak may make a comeback in the country.
According to a leaked picture of the new Chetak, the scooter looks glamorous from front to back and the headlamp, too, is looking attractive. The new modified Chetak scooter is expected to be based on a lightweight chassis and features a retro design.
At the same time, this scooter will be powered by single cylinder, four stroke and air-cooled 125 – 150 cc engine.Apart from this, the iconic Bajaj Chetak could also feature the company’s patented DTS-i tech, drum brakes and advanced suspension components.
It is expected that the scooter can be equipped with disc brake at front later. However, nothing can be said about its pricing, it will be only revealed when the scooter launches by the end of 2017 or the beginning of 2018.
Once the best selling scooter in India , ‘ Bajaj Chetak’ , was an affordable means of transportation for millions middle class Indian families in the 80’s era.Its production was discontinued in 2006 after losing the competition to smarter bikes and scooters.
