New Baleno RS 2017 VS Old Baleno : The Striking Changes

The largest car maker of the country Maruti Suzuki has launched its premium hatchback car – the Baleno RS with 1.0L BoosterJet petrol engine. The company has launched this car on Friday at 6 pm. Although, the booking of the car had already started and it can be booked online against a payment of Rs 11,000 thousand only. 

Engine Compare

The new 1.0L BoosterJet engine (also called turbojet engine) is being introduced in India by the Maruti where as older Baleno had 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine.

Torque and Power Compare

This Baleno 2017 will get 18 PS of more power and 35 Nm of higher torque as compared to the standard Baleno. Standard Baleno is fitted with 1.2 liter 4- cylinder petrol engine, which produces 84 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque. The Baleno RS will get only 5- speed manual gearbox, which will supply power to the wheels.

Design and Look Compare

This new car (Baleno RS) is priced between Rs. 5.11 lakh and Rs. 8.16 lakh. In terms of design, the Baleno RS is almost the same as the old standard model. However, the company has made some drastic change, which gives it more sporty look.  

Exterior Compare

The front and rear bumper of the Baleno RS have been changed. It has been given body skirting. It also get the new mesh grille in the front and chrome is also like the standard Baleno. Moreover, alloy wheel has been taken from the existing Baleno, though these are given in black colour like the Ignis.

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS is an excellent sporty car on which the company has focused on the security features. The car is equipped with ABS with EBD, keyless central locking, rear and front disc brakes, dual airbags, seat belt with pretensioners and force limiters, reverse parking sensors, ISOFIX child seats, anti-theft security system and speed sensing door lock.
