The world famous Volkswagen German car Polo will be launched in Berlin on June 16, 2017. The next generation Volkswagen Polo hatchback will be larger in size compared to the old car.
At the same time, dimension of the new Polo has been changed too. Also, this car will include the design elements of the old Polo, which is now part of the design philosophy of the Volkswagen Polo.
This car has been built on the MQB platform. It is noteworthy that this platform has been used to manufacture the recently launched Volkswagen Tiguan SUV in India.
It is believed that Volkswagen may offer turbocharged petrol and diesel engines in its new Polo hatchback. The base model of the Polo hatchback will be offered with 1.0- litre, TSI engine, while its top model will be introduced with 1.5- litre TSI engine, which produces 130 bhp – 150 bhp. Moreover, Volkswagen will also offer an option of 1.5- liter diesel engine in its new Polo that will generate 250 Nm of torque.
For the Indian market, the company can give a 1.5- liter diesel turbo engine with a 1.2- liter engine, and this car can be launched in India in the year of 2018.
