The French car manufacturer Renault has launched the Renault Kwid 1.0L (1000 cc) at a starting price of Rs. 3.82 lakh. The price is ex-showroom, Delhi. As the name indicates, the new Kwid is powered by a bigger and more powerful 1.0-litre petrol engine. The Renault Kwid 1.0 competes directly with Maruti Suzuki Alto K10.
The Renault Kwid 1.0 engine produces 68 PS of power and 91 Nm of peak torque, though it is paired to the same five speed manual transmission gearbox. As far as mileage is concerned, the Renault Kwid 1.0 delivers a fuel economy of 23.01 kmpl.
In terms of dimension, the Renault Kwid 1.0 measures 3679 mm in length, 1579 mm in width and 1478 mm in height and, at the same time, the car has a wheelbase of 2422 mm and a high ground clearance of 180 mm.
The Renault Kwid 1.0 features two-tone gloss grey ORVMs, 1.0 Designer Decals, pro-sense seat belts, digital instrument cluster, one touch lane change indicator, radio speed dependent on speed control, seven inch touchscreen MediaNAV, Bluetooth connectivity, in-built navigation and Aux-in. Apart from these, the Renault Kwid 1.0 comes with best-in-class boot space of 300 litres.
In terms of safety, the Renault Kwid 1.0 comes equipped with several safety features like front airbags, ABS system, centre locking and keyless entry.
