Punto’s sporty avatar Fiat Argo to debut in Brazil

The spory suv looking avatar of Fiat is coming at 'Argo; in Brazil

Fiat has released some new photos of sporty looking hatchback – the Argo, which will be introduced in Brazil by the end of this month. In fact, this 12- year- old famous hatchback car is coming to replace the Punto hatchback. The design of the upcoming Argo is quite different from the design of the Punto hatchback. It looks more attractive and sharper than the Punto hatchback, which can be called perfect. T

he Argo has been provided fiat’s new grille, which can be seen in the Abarth 124 Spider and the Tipo hatchback available in Europe. In addition, swept- back double barrel headlamps are provided on either side of the grill, which are reminiscent of the 2017 Honda City and the new facelift Jazz.

It is expected that the Argo can be launched in place of Punto like the international market in India.

If Fiat brings this car under the name of Punto, it would be called the fourth generation Punto hatchback. Although, Fiat will launch it with the name of the Argo instead of Punto. It is noteworthy that the Argo name is taken from Jason and the Argonauts sea ship, which is prevalent in Greek civilization.

By looking at the picture, it seems it is top performance version of the Argo. It has alloy wheel and a red line on black bumper with Scorpion design inspired by Abarth model. At the same time, side cladding and wheel arches remind you the Abarth Punto that has been closed in the international market.

At the back, exhaust pipe has been given. A spoiler has been provided on the rear windscreen and, tail- lamp has been kept in LED design, which looks like the Fiat Tipo. Moreover, like other Fiat cars, a larger size company’s logo has been given in the middle.

The Argo hatchback will be launched in Brazil in the coming days, whether it will be launched in India or not, there is no official information about it yet. It is expected that it may be launched in India by 2019. The Argo hatchback launches in Brazil will get 1.0- liter, 1.3- liter and 1.8- liter petrol engines. If, the Argo hatchback launches in India, it can get an option of 1.3- liter MultiJet diesel engine and 1.4- liter T-jet turbo engine.
