According to a report, Renault is considering to launch a facelift for the Duster by the end of 2015. This news comes a week after Hyundai launched the Creta. In fact Renault had already launched the updated Duster in March 2015, however the competition is heating up fast and changes have to be made to the compact-SUV to keep it competitive in the segment. Therefore Duster has many changes and these changes will include a visible exterior update and additional equipment. For the moment Renault is concentrating on introducing the Kwid hatchback in the market, it is expected to be launched in September 2015.
The Duster facelift should make it to the showrooms a couple of months after this, but certainly before the end of the year.The facelifted Duster will continue to sport the same 1.6-litre petrol unit and 1.5-litre dCi diesel. The diesel will continue to be offered in the 85PS and the 110PS variant. ‘
On the plus side,diesel variant is being expected to come with a 6-speed DCT automatic transmission besides manual transmission. It is also expected that the Duster will finally sport a new look, however the look will not be revolutionary different than the existing model. The Duster may be launched by the end of this year.
