We has posted how aggressively Renault is pushing to capture the spot of Maruti Alto and now we have seen an addition of another variant in Kwid’s lineup.The ‘RXL’ variant of Kwid has been launched in the 1.0L segment.The price of this variant ( 3.54 lakhs) is about RS 20,000 more than Kwid 0.8L engine.Similarly , RXL Automatic variant of Renault Kwid price has been announced to be 3.84 lakhs.With this now there are five variants in Renault Kwid.
RXL variant of Kwid is targeted for customers expecting something more from this most selling Renault small car.The engine (1.0L SCE) has been refined for a better performance.
The double over headed camshaft with 4 valve/cylinder not only lets more air to pass through but also increases the fuel efficiency.These changes enable ample power generation at low end , mid range and high end rev band.The tweaked engine makes a nicer urban and highway drive.The new variant also receives new speed sport design graphics , the door gets 2 tone gloss gray ORVM making its styling even better.
There has also been a focus on safety and security in this variant following all the norms set by Indian authority.It comes with a driver side airbag.The company has also equipped it with Pro-Sense seat belt , Pretensioners with load limiters have been fitted.These kind of features are only seen in premium segment cars and this is the first time Renault has used such features in this segment.

The car length of 3879 mm making it the longest car in this segment.The boot space (300 liter) in the hatchback expands to 1115 liter by folding the rear seats.The 7 inch media navigation system has an suv like design.The other typical features are digital instrument cluster,one touch lane indicator,radio speed dependent volume control,Pro Sense seat belt , spacious cabin and storage spaces.
