The French carmaker Renault has launched its highly-anticipated small car- the Kwid in India. The starting price of the vehicle is RS. 2.56 lakh, which goes up to RS. 3.53 lakh. The prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
In fact, manufactured at Renault India’s Chennai based facility, the Kwid is the first product built on the CMF-A platform which has been jointly developed by Renault and Nissan. The vehicle measures 3,679 mm in length, 1,478 mm in height, 1,579 mm in width and 2,422 mm in wheelbase. In addition, the Kwid has a ground clearance of 180 mm and a fuel tank capacity of 28 litre.
The Kwid comes with several features like; passenger side airbag and anti-lock braking system, front power windows, keyless entry and central locking, fog lights, a 7-inch touchscreen MediaNAV system with Bluetooth, USB and so on.
Moreover, the vehicle has a 800cc engine which is capable of producing 54bhp and 74Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and gives a mileage of 25.17 Kmpl. The vehicle will be available in 5 colours.
