The German auto maker Porsche has launched its luxury car – the Panamera in India. The company has introduced this car in two variants – the Panamera Turbo and the Panamera Turbo Executive. As far as prices are concerned, the Panamera Turbo has been priced at Rs 1.93 crore while the Panamera Turbo Executive comes with a price tag of Rs 2.05 crore. Both prices are ex- showroom, Maharashtra.
The new Panamera has been made of strong and light- weight aluminum. This car has been manufactured on the Volkswagen Group’s new MSB platform. The Panamera Turbo version comes fitted with a low-weight, twin turbocharged 4.0- liter, V8 petrol engine, which produces 550 PS of power and 770 Nm of peak torque.
The engine has been equipped with an 8- speed PDK automatic gearbox. The company claims that the new engine gives 30 PS of more power and 70 Nm of more torque compared to the old engine. The mileage of the car has also increased by 10 per cent.
In terms of speed, this is a superb car. The Panamera Turbo accelerates from 0 kmph to 100 kmph mark in just 3.8 seconds, at the same time there is an additional option of the Sport Chrono Package, which, when updated, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.6 seconds. The top speed of this car is 306 kmph.
On the other hand, the same engine has been given in the Turbo Executive variant. It takes 3.9 seconds to get the 0 – 100 kmph speed. The length and wheelbase of the Turbo Executive is 150 mm more than the standard model.
As far as design and look of the car is concerned, the design of second generation Panamera is taken from the existing model. Its front portion are similar to the old Panamera, whereas the rear portion is sharper than before.
The Panamera Turbo has been provided LED headlight with Porsche’s dynamic light system (PDLS), Panoramic sunroof, 4-zone climate control and, at the same time Bose sound system and a touchscreen display have been added for the rear passenger.
