The TUV300 (=Tough Utility Vehicle) , a compact 7 seater SUV, has been launched by Mahindra in India. The price of the TUV300 ranges between RS. 6.90 lakh to RS. 9.12 lakh depending on its variants. In fact, the TUV300 will rival the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, Hyundai Creta and Ford EcoSport, at this prices.
The vehicle is powered by 84bhp, 1.5-litre mHawk80 diesel engine with Micro Hybrid technology which is more efficient and powerful than the Bolero and a fuel economy figure of 18.49 kmpl, as the company claims. On the transmission front, the Mahindra TUV300 offers a 5-speed manual and an auto SHIFT automated manual transmission (= AMT).
The interior of the TUV300 has contemporary styling, excellent comfort and convenience and best in class width and height. Moreover, it has premium dual tone black, a smart dashboard with hexagon-themed centre console, an infotainment system with 2-din music system, bluetooth, USB, AUX, piano black centre fascia, steering-mounted audio controls and sporty twin pod instrument cluster.
On the safety front, the vehicle comes with toughened high strength steel body shell, crumple zones and hydro-formed crush tips and strong side intrusion beams for all-round impact protection, Dual Airbags and ABS with EBD, Corner Brake Control to maintain the driver intended path during braking while turning, 3rd Generation chassis with high torsional stiffness and durability.
While, on the exterior front, the vehicle gets a number of features such as; flat roof, raised shoulders, high front nose, straight bonnet and high ground clearance. In addition, it has bold grille with chrome inserts, black bumper, static bending headlamps, flat bonnet and rectangular fog lamps. other features includes outside rear-view mirrors, body-coloured door handles, wind mirrors and vertical tail-lamps. It will be available in Dynamo Red, Majestic Silver, Verve Blue, Glacier White, Bold Black and Molten Orange colours.
