Renowned car manufacturer Volkswagen has launched another new variant of Vento sedan with including new features like rear ac and parking camera. The name of this new variant is – the Highline Plus, that is the top- end variant of the Vento sedan. It has been launched with new and attractive features. New features of the car include full LED headlamps, parking camera and rear AC vent. However, there is no change in the engine.
The price of the Volkswagen Vento Highline Plus starts at Rs 10.84 lakh. The price is ex- showroom, Mumbai. The main rivals of the Volkswagen Vento Highline Plus are the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, the Hyundai Verna and the Honda City.
The Volkswagen Vento Highline Plus comes equipped with full LED headlamps with LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) and rear- view parking camera. In addition, it has turn indicators on OVRMs, 3D- effect tail lamps, auto- dimming IRVM, cooled glove box, automatic rain sensing wipers, rear AC vents, Zirkonia alloy wheels and multifunctional steering.
As far as engines are concerned, the new Vento Highline Plus has been given the same engine of the existing Vento. The petrol version has an option of 1.6- litre MPI and 1.2- litre TSI turbocharged engine, while the diesel version comes fitted with a 1.5- liter, 4- cylinder turbocharged engine.
The 1.2- liter petrol engine is paired to DSG automatic transmission gearbox only, while, the 1.6- liter petrol engine is mated to a manual transmission gearbox. On the other hand, the diesel version has both options – manual transmission gearbox and automatic transmission gearbox.
