German auto maker Volkswagen has launched the sports variant of its popular hatchback car – the Polo GT. Now the Polo GT Sport is more powerful and more efficient car. Know, six important features of the new Volkswagen Polo GT Sport hatchback car :
Increased Cabin Space than earlier one
To provide a sporty look to the Polo GT Sport, the company has made a lot of changes in its interior and exterior. The cabin of the Polo GT Sport has been also increased as compared to Polo GT. Additionally, the Polo GT Sport comes with all- black leatherette upholstery with ‘GT Sport’ embossed badging.
16- inch Alloy Wheels
On the exterior front, there has not been much change in the new car, nevertheless its alloy wheels have been changed. Now the new Polo GT Sport comes fitted with 16- inch alloy wheels, which is bigger than the existing Polo and Polo GT. No doubt, the car looks sporty thanks to these alloy wheels.
GT badging
On the side of the 2017 Polo GT Sport, ‘GT Sport’ stickers have been given. At the same time, ‘GT TSI’ badging has been given on the C-pillar and ‘GT’ badging has been given on the grille. It shows that the car is Sport model.
Powerful engine
Under the hood, there is no change in the car. The Polo GT Sport is powered by the same engine – the 1.2- liter, 4- cylinder turbocharged engine which generates 105 PS of power and 175 Nm of peak torque. This engine is equipped with a 7- speed, dual- clutch DSG automatic transmission gearbox.
Price
The Polo GT Sport comes available in both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol model has been priced at Rs 9.11 lakh, while the diesel variants come with a price tag of Rs 9.21 lakh. All prices are ex- showroom, Delhi.
Rivals
In the Indian auto market, the new Volkswagen Polo GT Sport will compete directly with the Figo S, Hyundai i20 Active and the Baleno RS.
