The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is a mid size premium sedan, which is the successor to the company’s own sedan- SX4. The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz comes in 14 versions with two engine, two transmission and two fuel options. The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is the most aerodynamic product of Maruti by now, as the company claims.
The price of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz starts at Rs 7.69 lakhs and goes up to Rs 10.71 lakhs. All prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi. The main competitors of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz are the Honda City, Nissan Sunny, Volkswagen Vento, Hyundai Verna Fluidic and the Skoda Rapid.
ENGINE AND SPECIFICATIONS
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz comes in both petrol and diesel guises. The petrol engine is powered by a 1.4 litre, 1373 cc, 4-cylinder, VVT, K-Series motor that churns out a maximum power of 91 bhp at 6000 rpm with a peak torque of 130 Nm at 4000 rpm. On the other hand, the 1.3 litre, 1248 cc, diesel engine produces 89 bhp of power at 4000 rpm along with a peak torque of 200 Nm at 1750 rpm.
Both the engines have been taken from the Ertiga MPV and come mated to a five-speed manual transmission though, the petrol engine is also available with a four-speed automatic transmission.
